If you have already had a Sick Note (Fit Note) for this illness your Doctor may not need to see you to issue an additional or subsequent one. We will contact you to let you know when you can collect your Sick / Fit Note or we may contact you to arrange an appointment if necessary, usually by text.

It can take in the region of at least 3-5 days to process depending on doctor availability and other staffing levels and an additional sick/fit note cannot be issued until the original one has expired. A sick/fit note can however be backdated if it takes a bit longer to process so it does not require prioritisation on that basis.
