Online Requests
Online Services (via the app)
When using the app you will be able to:
- Order repeat prescriptions
- Make or cancel an appointment
- View your medical record including investigations and test results
If you wish to register for online services please use the NHS app.
Whilst there are other apps available we know the NHS app is safe and secure and it takes you through the process of registering step by step and without need to call or visit the practice again. This saves you and our staff time.
We are currently taking part in a digital exclusivity project supported by our Patient Participation Group and our Primary Care Networks. We anticipate that this will help us to produce a helpful guide in setting up online services via the NHS app and also offer local support to patients who can drop in and speak to someone about online services and how to get set up. We will keep you posted on this project’s progress.
Please see here for a guide on how to register and use the NHS app.
Online Requests
Please note that some online requests via our website are now linked to AccuRx. NHSE/SWL have commissioned the AccuRx system for practices to use for patient triage and online consultations. This will include several admin functions (including subsequent FIT notes, ask the practice a question, request repeat medication) and ask a clinician a question which will link to AccuRx for non-urgent medical support and advice.
These direct links to AccuRx will take you straight to an alternative online form which will come into the practice when completed in the same way our old online forms used to do. Once set up it should be as quick and easy to use in future as the previous system. This new system also links straight to the medical record for future auditing purposes.
Please note general admin and clinical enquiries via the website using AccuRx can take up to 5 working days to be responded to. Requests for repeat prescriptions will also continue to take 3 working days to fully process. Please also note that despite it mentioning requests for test results in AccuRx these are not available via the website link. You can see test results if you sign up for and use online access via the app (as detailed previously).
Any urgent requirements should always be addressed with the practice by telephone.
